Job summary

OC Sports & Entertainment, LLC in California seeks an Operations Manager for Janitorial & Conversion to oversee daily operations, staffing, and performance of part-time labor teams. You’ll lead scheduling, training, and event preparation while upholding high standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency.

The role requires hands-on leadership, ability to manage late-night/early-morning shifts, and coordination with other departments to ensure seamless event execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4+ years of experience in venue operations or janitorial management.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience leading large part-time teams.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and safety procedures.
• Ability to read floor plans and event setup diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, train, schedule, and supervise part-time teams across janitorial, cleaning, conversion, and machine operator roles.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop staff to maintain proper staffing for events and non-event activities.
• Provide coaching, performance feedback, and disciplinary support as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lead venue conversions, including event setups, changeovers, and breakdowns per diagrams.
• Coordinate event schedules and labor needs with internal departments to meet deadlines.
• Manage equipment installation/removal and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Maintain clean, sanitary, and event-ready spaces; supervise waste removal and deep cleaning tasks.
