George Washington University’s Events & Venues department on the Foggy Bottom campus is seeking a temporary Venue Manager. This on-site, part-time, on-call role requires occasional nights and weekends and supports events for students, faculty, staff, and guests.
You will coordinate event logistics, serve as the primary contact for event hosts, manage setup and day-of changes, supervise staff and vendors, and enforce campus policies to ensure successful events across campus venues.
Events & Venues at the George Washington University (a department in the Division of Safety & Operations) schedules and manages event venues on the Foggy Bottom Campus. We provide services to a broad spectrum of clients both in the community and outside the community. The department offers spaces for students, faculty, staff, and guests to host events, meetings, and gatherings. We highlight university traditions, produce memorable guest speaker events, and coordinate many other activities unique to our campus with local, national, and international acclaim. Events & Venues is seeking a temporary Venue Manager. This role is part-time with an on-call reporting status and requires occasional nights and weekends.
Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Location: Foggy Bottom, Washington, D.C.
Hours per week: 20
Salary range: $18.08 – $30.50 per hour
Work schedule: Monday to Sunday, occasional evenings
Employee onsite status: On‑campus (in person)
Job type: Temporary, part‑time (on‑call)
