828 Venue Management Company is seeking a Venue Event Captain to lead onsite operations and ensure exceptional guest experiences at events. The role oversees beverage service, vendor coordination, and facility readiness while supporting overall venue operations.

As a primary onsite representative, you will manage bartenders, ensure compliance with alcohol laws, and adapt to event needs. This is a part-time position with potential for increased hours based on event volume.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in hospitality, events, or food & beverage preferred.
• Previous bartending experience is required.
• Leadership or shift lead experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and calm under pressure.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Evenings, weekends, and holidays availability based on event schedules.
• Must be 21 years or older and have alcohol service certification.
• Reliable transportation, cell phone, and working computer.
• Stand/walk for extended periods; can lift up to 50 pounds.
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather; perform setup/breakdown.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary onsite venue representative during assigned event shifts.
• Deliver hospitality to clients, guests, vendors, and partners.
• Identify and resolve issues to minimize disruptions.
• Support operations lead to execute events per standards and client expectations.
• Assist with event flow and operational priorities.
• Open/close venue per procedures; ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Complete checklists and report maintenance concerns.
• Support services, decor, rentals setups as assigned.
• Conduct walkthroughs for safety and presentation.
• Document event details and incidents to management.
• Ensure vendor compliance with policies and requirements.
• Complete ad hoc requests from Senior Venue Event Captain.
