Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business or a closely related field.
• 2–3+ years of venture capital or corporate venture capital experience.
• Experience sourcing, evaluating, and supporting execution of early‑stage venture investments.
• Familiarity with venture diligence tools, processes, and common deal structures.
• Willingness to travel domestically (and occasionally internationally) up to 40%.

Responsibilities

• Source Honda-relevant deal flow through venture tools (PitchBook, Crunchbase), VC/CVC relationships, founder networks, accelerators, and West Coast startup ecosystem activity.
• Identify, screen, and engage promising startups aligned with Honda’s innovation roadmap.
• Conduct early-stage diligence: market potential, differentiation, business model viability, and team strength.
• Develop clear investment proposals and present recommendations to the HXV investment team.
• Support end‑to‑end internal investment processes and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
• Track emerging technology and investment trends relevant to Honda; support open‑innovation engagements.
• Manage follow‑up actions, information flow, and reporting between Honda teams and startup partners.
