Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering leadership.
• Experience with hybrid work environments.
• Experience debugging and profiling high-throughput systems.

Responsibilities

• Reverse-engineer and improve learning-focused features.
• Ship incremental improvements to the Carlsbad platform on a regular cadence.
• Profile memory usage and diagnose leaks in critical paths.
• Evaluate and recommend new tools, frameworks, and Node.js libraries.
• Read and trace Cypress stack traces to root causes.
• Diagnose and fix user-reported issues and monitor systems.
• Tune database queries and schemas for high-throughput workloads.
• Keep the unit test/build pipeline green for deployments.
