AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment while educating patients and caregivers. The role focuses on safety, comfort, and independence as care shifts from hospital to home or other settings.

You will perform clinical assessments, assist with discharge planning, and collaborate with physicians and referrals to optimize outcomes. A valid license, CPR, and an AMA-approved degree are required.

Qualifications

• Valid and unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license in all states serviced by the branch.
• CPR certification.
• Associates degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program.
• One year of clinical experience with ventilator exposure.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Maintain advanced knowledge of respiratory equipment, ventilators, and related guidelines.
• Conduct clinical assessments and communicate findings to physicians and referrals.
• Assist in discharge planning for ventilator-dependent patients.
• Instruct patients and caregivers on equipment use and safety.
• Document patient care activities accurately in company systems.
• Ensure confidentiality, HIPAA, PPE and infection control compliance.
