Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients’ homes, clinics, or other sites. You will educate patients and caregivers to ensure safe, independent use and proper care.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, handling basic repairs, and completing documentation to support patient care and reimbursement; on-call rotation is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service or healthcare exposure preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
• Experience in patient education is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up, and maintain respiratory and HME equipment.
• Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Complete documentation for care and billing.
• Support on-call rotation as scheduled.
