Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to deliver specialized respiratory care to ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. This role combines hands-on patient care, education, and collaboration with physicians to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes outside the hospital.

The position requires an associate degree in respiratory therapy, an unrestricted RT license, CPR certification, and ability to travel.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program.
• One year of clinical experience with ventilator-exposed patients.
• Valid and unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license in serviced states.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and apply advanced knowledge of ventilators and respiratory equipment.
• Perform clinical assessments and communicate findings to physicians.
• Assist in discharge planning and transitions to home setting for ventilator-dependent patients.
• Instruct patients, caregivers, and professionals on equipment use.
• Document patient care activities and outcomes per company standards.
• Adhere to HIPAA, PPE, infection control, and hazardous materials handling requirements.
