Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support who delivers specialized respiratory care to ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate care settings, collaborating with physicians and care teams. This field clinician role combines hands-on patient care, education, and documentation, with on-call rotation and travel to service our Colorado locations.

Candidates must have an Associate degree, active Respiratory Therapist license, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from AMA-approved respiratory program.
• 1 year of clinical experience with ventilator exposure.
• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in all states serviced by the branch.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and apply advanced knowledge of respiratory equipment, ventilators, HME products, and related payers/regulatory guidelines.
• Perform clinical assessments and reassessments, review patient records and care plans, communicate findings to physicians.
• Discharge planning and execution for ventilator dependent patients ensuring smooth home transitions.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals on ventilator units and supplies.
