Job summary

The Information Center, Inc. seeks a Vendor Services Specialist to coordinate POS requests and connect participants with contracted vendors, ensuring timely service assignments.

The role serves as the main liaison between vendors and internal care management, supporting utilization tracking, compliance activities, and process improvements in alignment with Medicaid and MDHHS requirements. Strong communication and organization are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in related field preferred.
• Two years of healthcare administration or vendor coordination experience.
• Experience with Medicaid or HCBS programs preferred.
• Experience with compliance and care management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and process POS requests for MI Choice Waiver, Self-Determination, CTS and related services.
• Coordinate service requests with vendors and monitor status to completion.
• Serve as primary vendor contact for requests, updates, and documentation.
• Follow up on outstanding requests and inform supervisor of needs.
• Track two-week follow-ups for new or changed services and resolve issues.
• Route vendor communications to internal staff as needed.
• Cross-reference POS, vendor notices, and invoices to ensure accurate authorizations.
• Maintain service and vendor records and identify trends for improvement.
• Prepare reports on service activity and vendor utilization.
• Administer vendor system access and user accounts in Compass.
• Track DCW Premium Distribution Reporting form submissions.
• Support vendor compliance activities and required documentation.
• Conduct quarterly Special Investigations reviews of licensing for contracted providers.
• Participate in meetings and process improvement projects.
