Job summary

F&M is seeking a Vendor Management & BCP Specialist to oversee the full vendor lifecycle, from onboarding and contract negotiations to performance monitoring. This role ensures third party dependencies align with internal business continuity and disaster recovery frameworks and maintains strong vendor relationships to meet bank standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• 3-5 years’ experience in vendor/third party relations, risk management, financial operations and/or BCP/Disaster Recovery is preferred.
• Strong contract negotiation skills with ability to draft, review and negotiate vendor terms.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with stakeholders and vendors.
• Proficiency with VMS, contract management software, and MS Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee onboarding for new vendors, including due diligence and contract negotiation.
• Conduct ongoing due diligence reviews and residual risk assessments.
• Monitor vendor performance and regulatory compliance with contracts and SLAs.
• Prepare vendor reports for governance committees and stakeholders.
• Maintain centralized vendor records and policy documentation.
• Ensure third party activities comply with banking laws and cyber security mandates.
• Coordinate reviews with Compliance, Legal, IT, Credit, and Risk Management.
• Train internal stakeholders on vendor management and BCP processes.
• Assist with audits and exam findings related to Vendor Management or BCP/DR.
• Conduct Business Impact Analyses to identify critical services and recovery priorities.
• Run drills, tabletop exercises, and staff training for emergency roles.
