Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Portsmouth, NH is hiring for an Inventory Clerk/Returns Specialist to support a seamless member shopping experience by handling damaged, defective, or returned merchandise and coordinating with vendors.

You’ll work in a fast-paced team that emphasizes safety, accuracy, and customer service, with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits as part of BJ’s commitment to its employees.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Process damaged or defective merchandise following salvage, donation, vendor return, reverse logistic, hazardous waste and destroy procedures.
• Obtain return authorizations from vendors, process vendor chargebacks, and package shipments per vendor policies.
• Maintain the correct stock/inventory status for damaged, defective and returned merchandise.
• Assess breakage logs and process damaged items out of inventory, including freezer and dairy items.
• Perform daily safety walks and assist with inventory counts as needed.
• Wraps sellable merchandise using proper seals and shrink-wrap guidelines.
• Ensure department is organized, clean, and adheres to safety and signage standards.
