Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Jersey City, NJ is hiring an inventory associate to support counts, processing, and sorting damaged or defective merchandise, and coordinating with vendors for returns. You will help reduce salvage and ensure accurate stock across departments.

Work involves daily inventory tasks, safety and policy compliance, and teamwork to maintain club standards. Regular attendance is essential and performance is reviewed according to policy.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
• Basic math skills required.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Works proactively with department teams to track, plan, coordinate and execute department inventory counts and cycles as prescribed by Home Office within assigned deadlines.
• Obtains return authorizations from vendors, processes vendor chargebacks, and packages and ships merchandise returns based on vendor return policies.
• Maintains the correct stock / inventory status for all damaged, defective, and returned merchandise.
• Re-wraps sellable merchandise using proper seal and shrink-wrap packaging guidelines.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job.
