Job summary

Medica is a nonprofit health plan seeking a Vendor Relations professional to oversee outsourced partnerships, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement. The role acts as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and vendors, ensuring contractual commitments are met and processes run smoothly.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and at least three years of related experience, with preference for healthcare industry exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Three years of work experience beyond the degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience overseeing, managing, or partnering with outsourced vendors.
• Operational leadership or customer service leadership experience.
• Project management, change management, or cross-functional implementation experience.
• Healthcare industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and report vendor performance against KPIs, SLAs, and terms; communicate outcomes to stakeholders.
• Identify gaps with vendors and develop/monitor corrective action plans.
• Serve as primary liaison between internal leaders and vendor partners; lead reviews and set priorities.
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to support changes and new initiatives; oversee execution.
• Act as escalation point for vendor issues and facilitate timely resolution; support audits and compliance.
• Build and maintain productive vendor relationships while ensuring policy adherence.
