Job summary

Medica is seeking a Vendor Relations professional to oversee outsourced partnerships, monitor performance, and drive improvements. The role acts as a liaison between internal leaders and vendor partners, supporting issue resolution and change initiatives.

The position is onsite at the Minnetonka, MN office, typically 3 days per week, with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree and several years of vendor or operational leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor vendor performance against KPIs, SLAs, and contractual terms.
  • Identify trends, risks, opportunities, and communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Partner with vendors to identify performance gaps and develop corrective actions.
  • Lead meetings and align stakeholders on priorities and accountability.
  • Coordinate across teams and vendors for operational changes and new initiatives.
  • Act as escalation point and support audits and compliance.
  • Build and maintain productive vendor relationships while ensuring policy compliance.

Medica's Vendor Relations role oversees the performance and success of outsourced vendor partnerships through proactive monitoring, analysis, relationship management, and operational coordination. This position serves as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and vendor partners, drives accountability for performance expectations and contractual commitments, and supports issue resolution, operational changes, and continuous improvement initiatives.Performs other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyze, and report vendor performance against established key performance indicators, service-level agreements, contracted terms, and operational goals.Identifytrends, risks, opportunities, and actionable insights, and communicate outcomes to internal stakeholders
  • Partner with vendors toidentifyperformance gaps, oversee root-cause analysis, and develop andmonitorcorrective action plans and performance-improvement initiatives. Hold vendor partners accountable for agreed-upon expectations and commitments
  • Serve as a primary liaison between internal business leaders and vendor partners. Lead performance and outcome review meetings, align stakeholders on priorities, andestablishclear ownership, expectations, and accountability
  • Coordinate across internal teams and vendor partners to support operational changes, new initiatives, and project implementation. Assess vendor readiness for process, system, and policy changes and oversee execution
  • Act as an escalation point for vendor-related issues andfacilitatetimelyresolution. Support oversight activities such as access requests, invoice review and validation, audits, and compliance with contractual and operational requirements
  • Build andmaintainproductive vendor relationships while monitoring compliance with organizational guidelines, policies, and procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Three years of work experience beyond the degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience overseeing, managing, or partnering with outsourced vendors
  • Operational leadership or customer service leadership experience
  • Project management, change management, or cross-functional implementation experience
  • Healthcare industry experience

This position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work onsite at our Minnetonka, MN office, on average, 3 days per week.

The full salary grade for this position is $56,600 - $97,000. While the full salary grade is provided, the typical hiring salary range for this role is expected to be between $56,600 - $84,840. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data. In addition to compensation, Medica offers a generous total rewards package that includes competitive medical, dental, vision, PTO, Holidays, paid volunteer time off, 401K contributions, caregiver services and many other benefits to support our employees.
