Since 1898, MOE has protected the lives and livelihoods of Northwest homeowners, families, farmers, and business owners. In this role, you’ll own how we choose, contract with, and get value from our third-party partners. • Build strong relationships with key vendors, serve as their main escalation point, and run regular business reviews
  • Lead negotiations on new agreements, renewals, and amendments to secure strong pricing, service levels, and protections
  • Manage the full RFP-to-contract process, from gathering requirements to coordinating legal, IT security, and finance review
  • Choose vendors based on best overall value, not just the lowest price
  • Spot opportunities to consolidate and streamline purchases across the organization
  • Identify and manage third-party risk, including financial, operational, cybersecurity, and reputational risk
  • Make sure vendors meet regulatory, data privacy, and insurance industry requirements
  • Define vendor KPIs and turn performance, spend, and risk data into scorecards and recommendations for senior leadership
  • Standardize templates and workflows to mature MOE’s vendor management program over time
WHAT YOU BRING
  • 7+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or strategic sourcing, including 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Strong negotiation skills and a track record of winning favorable terms while protecting relationships
  • A talent for distilling complex contracts, pricing, and risks into clear recommendations
  • Sound judgment on third-party risk and regulatory compliance
  • Analytical skill with KPIs, scorecards, and spend analysis
  • Clear communication with executives, business partners, and vendors
  • The ability to lead cross-functional teams and juggle several sourcing efforts at once
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
BONUS POINTS
  • Insurance or financial services experience
  • Familiarity with third-party risk management frameworks and contract lifecycle systems
