Overview
Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading Fleet Maintenance companies in the U.S., is seeking an experienced Vendor Fleet Manager to manage our vended shops nationwide. The Vendor Fleet Manager position requires advanced maintenance skills, management experience in an automotive dealership or equivalent, a strong mechanical background, and excellent customer service skills.
This is a temporary 6 to 9 month contract position with potential to turn into a permanent role. The position will be on-site based in Charlotte, NC.
Shift: Monday-Friday 7am-4pm
Compensation: Salary range: $65,000-75,000 DOE

Responsibilities
- Develop RFPs in support of automotive services
- Check emails to verify and send out new list of preventative maintenance needed to meet metrics
- Verify time sheets are entered correctly
- Call vendors regarding vehicles involved in accidents and non-addressable work
- Travel to vendors 2-3 times a week to inspect repairs and find ways to reduce costs
- Maintain regular contact with clients to resolve issues
- Travel to MSC locations for inspections of work performed
- Guide and teach technicians to improve productivity
- Assist technicians with mechanical issues requiring two people
- Verify inventory accuracy
- Participate in weekly team meetings
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in automotive service or fleet maintenance
- Prior technician/mechanic experience
- Familiarity with key vehicle parts
- Ability to use fleet management software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to follow instructions and complete training
- Strong customer service, leadership, and interpersonal skills
