Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading Fleet Maintenance companies in the U.S., is seeking an experienced Vendor Fleet Manager to manage our vended shops nationwide. The position requires advanced maintenance skills, management experience in an automotive dealership or similar, a strong mechanical background, and excellent customer service skills.

This is a temporary 6 to 9 month contract position with the potential to become permanent. It is on-site in Charlotte, NC.

Shift

Monday-Friday 7am-4pm

Compensation

Salary range $65,000-75,000 DOE

Responsibilities

• Develop RFPs for automotive services
• Verify and communicate preventative maintenance needs
• Ensure accurate time sheets and inventory
• Coordinate with vendors and inspect vehicles involved in accidents or repairs
• Travel 2-3 times weekly to vendors and MSC locations for inspections and cost analysis
• Resolve client issues and improve technician productivity
• Assist technicians with mechanical issues
• Conduct weekly team meetings

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 3 years supervisory experience in automotive service or fleet maintenance
• Prior technician/mechanic experience
• Familiarity with key vehicle parts and fleet software
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Ability to follow instructions and complete training
• Strong customer service and leadership skills

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Exposure to heavy traffic, dust, fumes, noise, chemicals, oils, and greases
• Ability to access all vehicle areas and move heavy objects
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions
