Job summary

The University of Iowa is seeking a Vendor Authentication Administrator within the Accounts Payable Department to join a high-impact team focused on onboarding, authentication, and fraud prevention. You will review new vendor requests, verify legitimacy, and manage ACH changes, Admin eSupplier access, and mergers with strong judgment and attention to detail.

This role supports 1099 processes, payment verifications, failed payment reviews, and vendor file maintenance to improve accuracy and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience.
• Typically 6 months in Accounting, Vendor Management, and/or fraud analysis.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong organization and analytics.
• Excellent project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess risk for new vendors to ensure legitimacy.
• Update vendor records related to mergers and acquisitions.
• Maintain reports to assess legitimacy of new and existing vendors.
• Process daily purchasing and payment transactions for new vendor requests and mergers.
