Job summary

WME Express in Austin, Texas is hiring an Autonomous Vehicle Technician to install, repair, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems on autonomous vehicles. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with weekly pay and benefits.

You will install sensors, cameras, wiring harnesses, compute modules, read diagrams, and document work. Lifting up to 50 lbs and hands-on teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• Automotive/EV/vehicle technician experience.
• Comfortable with mechanical and electrical tools.
• Able to troubleshoot vehicle electrical systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Attention to detail and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Install sensors, cameras, wiring harnesses, and vehicle hardware.
• Install and connect computer/compute modules.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems.
• Perform vehicle retrofits, repairs, and hardware updates.
• Read wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
• Use multimeters, diagnostic equipment, and hand/power tools.
• Document completed work and report to teams.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams.

The Job

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Automotive, EV, electrical, or vehicle technician experience

• Strong attention to detail

• Comfortable working on vehicles for extended periods

A Plus:

• Autonomous or electric vehicle experience
• LiDAR, radar, or camera installation
• Low-voltage or high-voltage electrical experience
• Soldering, crimping, or fabrication skills
