Job summary

TRUCKING PEOPLE in Austin, TX is hiring autonomous vehicle technicians for an in-person, full-time role. The position offers $25–$30/hour, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.

You will install wiring harnesses, sensors, compute modules, and vehicle hardware, perform retrofits and system integrations, and diagnose electrical or mechanical issues. Document work and follow SOPs to maintain quality.

Qualifications

• Hands-on wiring, installation, electrical, mechanical, or hardware experience required.
• Valid, active, non-expired driver's license required.
• Clear photo of your current driver's license required.
• Background check required.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on vehicles for extended periods.

Our client is hiring hands-on technical professionals to install, wire, integrate, troubleshoot, and support hardware systems on autonomous vehicles.

You do NOT need to be an automotive mechanic — but you DO need hands-on installation, wiring, electrical, mechanical, or hardware experience.

PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT an IT, Help Desk, Desktop Support, Networking, or Software position.

REQUIREMENTS

• Hands-on wiring, installation, electrical, mechanical, or hardware experience required
• Valid, active, non-expired driver's license required
• Clear photo of your current driver's license required
• Clean driving record required
• Background check required
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on vehicles for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions

Autonomous vehicle experience is a plus, but NOT required.

Candidates whose experience is primarily IT support, help desk, networking, software, or other computer-only work without hands-on hardware/wiring experience are not the target for this position.
