Job summary

TRUCKING PEOPLE in Austin, TX is hiring autonomous vehicle technicians for an in-person, full-time role. The position offers $25–$30/hour, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.

You will install wiring harnesses, sensors, compute modules, and vehicle hardware, perform retrofits and system integrations, and diagnose electrical or mechanical issues. Document work and follow SOPs to maintain quality.

Qualifications

• Hands-on wiring, installation, electrical, mechanical, or hardware experience required.
• Valid, active, non-expired driver's license required.
• Clear photo of your current driver's license required.
• Background check required.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on vehicles for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Install wiring harnesses, sensors, compute modules, and vehicle hardware
• Perform vehicle retrofits and system integrations
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
• Read and follow wiring diagrams, schematics, technical drawings, and SOPs
• Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment
• Complete hardware updates, rework, and build corrections
• Document completed work and maintain quality standards
