Job summary

HireArt is assisting a client in Austin, TX to hire skilled Service Technicians for an autonomous EV fleet. You’ll perform routine maintenance, light repairs, and on-site support to ensure road readiness and safety.

Ideal candidates bring automotive technician experience, EV fundamentals, and a safety-first mindset. This role is full-time, on-site, and contract-based through HireArt, with benefits and career growth opportunities in a fast-paced mobility tech environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as an automotive technician or in a similar mechanical role.
• Strong understanding of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and EV fundamentals.
• Clean driving record and valid Texas driver’s license.
• Ability to work independently and handle fast-changing priorities.
• Detail-oriented and committed to safety and quality.
• Comfortable working around advanced autonomous vehicle technology.
• EV Technician experience is highly preferred.
• Experience with ADAS vehicles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document vehicle damage after road incidents.
• Perform minor on-site repairs and coordinate major repairs with partner service centers.
• Conduct regular scheduled maintenance and inspections (e.g., brakes, fluids, AC, tires, etc.).
• Monitor vehicle condition and report potential issues before they become problems.
• Support field operations by overseeing car evacuations and towing after incidents.
• Keep the fleet operational and road-ready by transporting vehicles for service appointments, repairs, and car washes.
• Maintain fleet and shop cleanliness, readiness, and compliance with safety standards.

Expected compensation: 26.00 - 30.00 USD Per Hour

In this role, you'll apply your automotive skills in a fast-growing industry at the forefront of mobility technology. From routine services to emergency response, your work will directly impact the safety and performance of the company's fleet operations. You’ll ensure vehicles are road-ready through routine maintenance, light repairs, and field support.

We’re looking for experienced automotive technicians who are detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working around advanced autonomous vehicle technology. Ideal candidates have strong mechanical backgrounds, experience with electric vehicles, and thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
