Job summary

Zoox is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to join the Manufacturing Test and Diagnostics Engineering team in Hayward, CA. You will design, develop, and deploy tester hardware, software, and production automation for ECU and vehicle testing on Zoox vehicles in manufacturing.

You will build test solutions using Python and test protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet), create intuitive UIs, and wrestle with electrical, hardware, and software issues during testing and EOL processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science required.
• 4+ years of hardware and software test integration experience using high-level languages such as Python.
• Experience with network protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and building intuitive UIs via React or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, deploy, and support tester hardware, test software, and production equipment automation for testing at Manufacturing, supplier end-of-line, and fleet service.
• Build test solutions using Python and knowledge of CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and related protocols.
• Create user interfaces interfacing with middleware over API, TCP/UDP, Pub-Sub protocols or other services.
• Serve as first line of defense for electrical and functional issues during testing and EOL processes.
• Translate component- and vehicle-level requirements into scalable system-level validation test scripts and test cases.
• Design and implement novel test solutions for future manufacturing lines and diagnostic architectures.
• Document test solution hardware/software requirements and troubleshooting procedures.
