Job summary

Zoox is seeking a Systems Test Engineer for the System Behavior Analysis Autonomous team in Foster City, CA. You will triage and diagnose faults using data analytics from on-road testing and simulations, generate reports, and inform leadership on quality and risk affecting the autonomous vehicle platform.

You will categorize issues by severity, collaborate with engineering, software, testing teams and offshore partners, and develop tools to improve triage processes while adapting to changing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or STEM-related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in systems troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Experience with Git, Agile methodologies, and scripting languages (Python).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to root cause analysis.
• A passion for autonomous vehicle technology and safety.

Responsibilities

• Utilize data analytics to analyze and diagnose system faults from testing and simulations.
• Categorize and prioritize issues based on severity and impact, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Identify trends in system failures and provide root cause analysis reports and preventive measures.
• Define and report operational characteristics of SBA execution including cost and capacity forecasting.
• Be hands-on, lead by example, and develop tools/workflows to improve triage quality and efficiency.
• Demonstrate agility by handling multiple tasks and adapting to changing priorities.
