Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician for their West Oxford dealership. This role offers the chance to work on a wide range of vehicles with manufacturer-accredited training and ongoing development.

The successful candidate will join a dedicated team, with hours 8:30am–5:00pm Monday to Friday and 1 in 4 Saturdays (8:30am–12:30pm) paid as overtime. Benefits include holiday entitlement, pension, healthcare plan, life assurance, and an employee car purchase scheme.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• 1–2 years of practical experience in a workshop as a Vehicle Technician.
• UK driving licence; MOT Smart Card is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fault diagnosis, servicing, maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles to manufacturer standards.
• Accurately diagnose faults, report findings to Workshop Controller, and carry out necessary repairs.
• Ensure work is completed to high quality standards with health and safety compliance.
• Maintain understanding of vehicle conditions, safety, reliability and performance.
• Complete workshop tasks in a timely, efficient manner within designated hours.
• Collaborate with team and maintain a positive attitude to achieve objectives.
• Keep accurate records of work and communicate vehicle conditions clearly.

Duties

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or similar qualification)
• At least 1-2 years of practical experience in a workshop environment as a Vehicle Technician
• UK driving licence
• MOT Smart Card holders are advantageous but not essential
• Strong team player with a committed and motivated approach
• Ability to produce high-quality work consistently in a busy dealership setting
• Focused on achieving targets and delivering excellent customer service
