Job summary

Perfect Placement are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician for a reputable main dealer in the Doncaster area. The role offers a competitive salary, earning potential and a comprehensive benefits package, with 40 hours per week and some weekend flexibility.

You will service and repair vehicles to manufacturers' standards, carry out diagnostics, and liaise with service advisors and customers to ensure excellent service. Level 3 IMI or equivalent and a full UK driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Level 3 IMI in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Experience as Vehicle Technician in a main dealership or similar.
• Full clean UK Driving Licence.
• MOT licence desirable but not essential.
• Strong customer service skills and a professional approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work 40 hours per week with occasional weekend flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Repair and service vehicles to manufacturers’ standards.
• Conduct diagnostic checks to identify faults.
• Vehicle inspections for wear and tear or faults.
• Liaise with service advisors, customers, and management for service quality.
• Perform all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Ensure DVSA standards are followed.
• Provide reports and updates on vehicle status.
• Support workshop team with additional technical tasks.

Duties

• Repair and service vehicles to manufacturers’ standards
• Conduct diagnostic checks to identify faults
• Complete vehicle inspections for wear and tear or general faults
• Liaise professionally with service advisors, customers, and management to ensure excellent customer service
• Perform all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair
• Ensure adherence to DVSA standards during work procedures
• Provide accurate reports and updates on vehicle status
• Support the workshop team with additional technical tasks as required

Requirements

• Level 3 IMI in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
• Proven work experience as a Vehicle Technician within a main dealership or similar environment
• Full clean UK Driving Licence
• MOT licence is desirable but not essential
• Strong customer service skills and a professional approach
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
