Job summary

Halfords is recruiting a Vehicle Service Technician to perform interim, full and major services and to carry out follow-up repairs and replacements. You will handle tyres, brakes, suspension, steering and related maintenance tasks in a fast-paced service environment.

The role includes a benefits package and opportunities for career progression within Halfords' Autocentres and retail divisions. A full UK driving licence is required with no more than 9 points.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out interim, full and major services.
• Perform repairs and replacement work (brakes, suspension and steering).
• Carry out tyre, transmission, steering and air conditioning tasks as required.

• On-target earnings up to £40,910
• Comprising a base salary of £32,500 - £35,910
• An uncapped monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £5,000 per year.

Skills and experience

• Must have a Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent OR time served experience
• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points
• Experience of delivering interim, full and major services plus relevant repair and replacement work (brakes, suspension and steering component replacement, air con service etc)
