Job summary

Halfords is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician to deliver workshop-quality servicing, maintenance and repair work at customers' homes and workplaces. You will work from a fully equipped van, manage your day, and build trusted relationships while keeping the nation moving.

You’ll see a range of tasks from routine servicing to fault diagnostics, with induction, technical development and clear progression opportunities within our growing mobile business.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2 or 3 in vehicle maintenance & repair or time-served experience.
• Proven experience in vehicle servicing & maintenance.
• A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with customers.

Responsibilities

• Interim, full and major vehicle services.
• Brake pad, shoe and disc replacement.
• Steering, suspension and brake repairs.
• Vehicle inspections and fault diagnostics.
• Tyre fitting, puncture repairs and wheel balancing.
• A/C servicing and re-gassing.

• On-target earnings up to £35,838.72

• Comprising a base salary of £33,038.72

• A monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £2,800 Per year

• 44 hour week, working 8am - 6pm shifts over 5 days, including 1 in 2 weekends

Working from a fully equipped van and supported by smart technology, you'll manage your own day, build trusted customer relationships and use your technical skills to keep the nation moving.

What you’ll be doing

No two days are the same as you use your technical expertise across a wide range of servicing, maintenance and repair work, helping to keep the nation moving.

• Interim, Full and Major vehicle services

• Brake pad, shoe and disc replacement

• Steering, suspension and brake repairs

• Vehicle inspections and fault diagnostics

• Tyre fitting, puncture repairs and wheel balancing

• Air conditioning servicing and re-gassing

What we’re looking for
