Job summary

Halfords is hiring a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic for our autocentre. You will service, repair and diagnose vehicles, including more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belts, with opportunities to expand into electrics and diagnostics.

This role suits skilled technicians looking for progression. We offer a base salary of £33,000–£36,000, on-target earnings up to £43,100, and an uncapped annual bonus averaging £7,100.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full driving licence with no more than 9 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repair work including complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements.
• Perform diagnostics on brakes, steering/suspension, engine and electrical systems.
• Replace worn components (coolant, injectors, head gasket, brakes) and carry out repairs as needed.
