Job summary

Halfords Careers is seeking a Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic to join our team. You will be skilled in servicing and repair/replacement work and able to tackle more complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements, plus diagnostics in areas like electrics, brakes, steering and suspension.

You will be offered an on-target earnings package of up to £42,420, comprising a base salary of £31,480 - £36,620 and an uncapped monthly bonus scheme with average annual extra earnings of £5,800.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Must have a full driver’s licence with no more than 9 points.

Skills and experience

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent OR time served experience
• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements (coolant/diesel injectors, head gasket, brakes, electrical)
