Job summary

Halfords is recruiting a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic for our Auto centres. You will service and repair vehicles, diagnose faults and perform complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements, electrics, and suspension diagnostics.

A Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience is required, with a full driving licence (≤9 points). The role offers an attractive OTE package, with base salary up to £36,620 and an uncapped monthly bonus averaging £6,600 annually.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced technician/mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work and more complex repair/replacements (brakes, steering/suspension, engine).

• On-target earnings up to £43,220
• Comprising a base salary of up to £36,620
• An uncapped monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £6,600 per year.

As a Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic, you will be already skilled in servicing and repair/replacement work. You’ll have the ability to carry out more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brake steering and suspension systems.

• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements (coolant/diesel injectors, head gasket, brakes, electrical)
