Job summary

Penske in Sacramento is seeking a Customer Service Coordinator to schedule preventative maintenance, coordinate outside repairs, and manage the shop work plan. You will balance customer needs with parts availability and technician skills to optimize service delivery.

Responsibilities include communicating maintenance updates, handling billing inquiries, and ensuring Penske Rental units are properly maintained for customers while upholding safety policies and DOT/OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• 2 years of customer service experience required.
• At least 1 year of hands on mechanical experience required.
• 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of service department administration preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates/Technical or Bachelors degree preferred.
• A.S.E. certification preferred.
• Experience with service scheduling and diagnostic programs preferred.
• Must follow Penske safety and maintenance policies.

Responsibilities

• Develop daily and weekly workforce plans by factoring customer needs, repairs, parts, and technician skills.
• Communicate maintenance updates and billing concerns with customers.
• Ensure Penske Rental units are maintained and prepared for customers.
• Ensure parts are available for scheduled work.
• HOLD vendors accountable for quality and schedule adherence.
• Provide customer service to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
• Maintain shop productivity by optimizing the work plan.
• Coordinate with district billing clerks as necessary.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
