Job summary

Carvana is hiring a Line Lead to supervise and develop a team of hourly associates in our Inspection Center. You will manage car flow, ensure production targets, and maintain quality standards while complying with safety policies.

The role requires a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and a valid driver’s license. You will lead with Lean principles, coach your team, and coordinate with the center GM to ensure timely, safe repairs and rejections where needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience using computers.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to lift up to 60 pounds independently; stand for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no DUIs, few violations).
• Familiarity with lean principles and reconditioning processes.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage and develop a team of hourly associates in the Inspection Center.
• Meet or exceed daily/weekly/monthly production goals and inventory quality targets.
• Oversee day-to-day team activities; identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.
• Provide coaching, development and performance feedback to team members.
• Foster positive communication, teamwork, and adherence to Carvana values.
• Communicate expectations, performance metrics and goals clearly to the team.
• Resolve conflicts and monitor adherence to policies and safety rules.
• Review identified defects in incoming inventory and approve actions.
• Lead and train workers to minimize rework and delays in production.
• Delegate tasks effectively and manage workload to maintain throughput.
• Ensure safe work practices and timely completion of tasks, including weekend/overtime schedules.
