Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Line Lead in Charlotte to supervise and develop a team of hourly associates in the Inspection Center, driving production targets and quality standards. You will coach, prioritize, and coordinate daily activities to ensure safety and lean practices while upholding Carvana’s values in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires leadership, equipment knowledge, and a commitment to safety, with full-time benefits and opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalence.
• Experience using computers.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Demonstrated functional expertise in Carvana’s reconditioning processes and lean principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage the movement of cars into and out of the Inspection Center safely, achieving production and quality goals.
• Meet or exceed inventory production goals on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Oversee day-to-day activities of the assigned team; identify strengths/weaknesses and opportunities for improvement.
• Engage the team with coaching, development and performance management; provide feedback.
• Create a work environment that supports positive communication, team cohesion, and Carvana’s values.
• Communicate expectations, performance measures, and goals clearly to the team.
• Prevent and resolve conflicts among team members.
• Monitor adherence to systems, policies, procedures and performance standards.
• Review and approve identified mechanical and physical defects of incoming inventory.
• Lead a team with the Inspection Center GM to repair or reject inventory based on cost/quality.
• Train team using Quality Control standards to complete repairs effectively the first time.
• Identify and complete repairs efficiently to minimize re-work and delays.
• Work to minimize injury risk and maintain safe shop conditions.
• Effectively manage multiple associates, ensuring development and performance management.
