Job summary

Carvana in Concord, NC is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to supervise the Inspection Center team and oversee daily operations in a lean manufacturing environment.

You will lead 5+ leads and up to 70 front-line associates, drive continuous improvement, ensure quality and production goals, and align with Carvana’s values while maintaining high engagement and safe practices. The role emphasizes coaching, training, and implementing strategic plans to meet cost objectives.

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Proven ability to obtain project deliverables and company metrics.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Mentor and develop direct reports and succession plans through coaching and training.
• Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with company goals.
• Ensure adherence to standards, policies, and performance metrics.
• Foster a team environment with clear communication and Carvana values.
• Recruit, orient, and train supervisory staff.
• Ensure training and certification processes are followed.
• Provide competency-based feedback to leads and associates.
• Manage production capacity and assist with planning.
• Ensure health, safety, and loss-prevention compliance.
• Guide the team to meet performance metrics and cost objectives.
• Lead continuous improvement and problem-solving efforts.
