Job summary

Wallenius Wilhelmsen is seeking an Operations Supervisor for the 2nd shift (4:30pm–1am) at our Lafayette, IN site. You will lead a vehicle processing team, ensure safety, drive improvements, and manage costs while mentoring hourly staff to deliver efficient operations.

Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years of first-line supervisory experience, familiarity with SOP/MRP/TQM/Kaizen/5S, and strong Microsoft Office and data skills. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years first-line supervisory roles with a strong focus on employee relations.
• Experience with SOP, MRP, TQM, JIT, Kaizen, 5S, and visual factory management.
• Experience in assembly line operations, automotive or mechanical applications.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office and database navigation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Vehicle Processing Center operations for efficiency and safety.
• Drive continuous improvement to achieve operational excellence.
• Meet and exceed performance targets while maintaining safety and cost efficiency.
• Mentor a team of hourly workers to deliver quality, efficient operations.
• Build and manage partnerships with key stakeholders and OEMs.
