Job summary

Wallenius Wilhelmsen in Lafayette, IN is seeking an Operations Supervisor (PDI) for 2nd shift (4:30pm–1am) to lead a skilled hourly team in the Vehicle Processing Center. You will drive safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement, manage performance, and build strong relationships with OEMs.

This role requires 3–5 years of supervision, knowledge of SOP/MRP/TQM/JIT/Kaizen/5S, and hands-on experience with automotive assembly.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years first-line supervisory roles with focus on employee relations.
• Experience with SOP, MRP, TQM, JIT, Kaizen, 5S, and visual factory management.
• Experience in assembly line operations, automotive/mechanical applications.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office and database navigation.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions.
• Physical ability: lift up to 30 lbs and endure standing/walking for long periods.
