Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Design, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of automotive engineering, vehicle integration, packaging, or related areas.
• Strong understanding of engineering theory and automotive design principles.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to balance customer needs, design intent, feasibility, timing and manufacturing requirements.
• Proficiency with Siemens NX / Unigraphics CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Incorporate Voice of the Customer insights into package design.
• Develop, refine and finalize engineering criteria with design and engineering partners.
• Lead creation of integrated technical solutions that resolve packaging issues while preserving design intent.
• Apply DFSS methodologies to drive robust design development and manage tradeoffs across cost, mass, timing, assembly and variation.
• Integrate regional and global requirements and develop alternatives that meet brand and market needs.
• Communicate proactively with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical challenges.
• Ensure package and Studio models align with customer-facing targets (space, visibility, storage).
• Lead cross-functional surface and integration forums and publish minutes.
