Job summary

Zoox seeks a Team Lead for Vehicle Operations in Phoenix to guide a team of Vehicle Operators, coordinate workflows, and uphold safety-first practices. You will work daily with your team to model discipline and drive Zoox’s high standards in testing and operations.

You will collaborate with program management, strategy, vehicle engineering, and go-to-market teams to align objectives, mentor staff, and streamline processes. This role emphasizes on-site leadership and hands-on involvement.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of cross-functional, product-based experience.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on-site at assigned location.
• Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving to improve operations.

Responsibilities

• Support vehicle operators in day-to-day operations with a safety-focused culture.
• Complete administrative tasks for team management (timesheets, expenses, scheduling, feedback).
• Coordinate with other Team Leads and Program/Project Managers to align with Zoox goals.
• Become subject-matter expert on Zoox Vehicle Operations software and mentor staff.
• Interact with contingent workforce and management to answer questions and ensure understanding of assignments.
• Conduct recurring testing with a priority on safety and staying current with operations.
• Be metric-focused and collaborate with product and program management to drive process and product improvements.
