Job summary

Zoox in Phoenix is seeking a Team Lead for Vehicle Operations (1st Shift) to guide a team of Vehicle Operators in safety-focused, high-performance testing and operations.

You will oversee day-to-day coaching, timesheet reviews, and cross-functional collaboration with program management, vehicle engineering, and go-to-market teams to meet short- and long-term objectives. The role is on-site 7am-4pm, Tuesday-Saturday, with a strong emphasis on mentoring staff to Zoox standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional work experience in a cross-functional and product-based environment.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Experience in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting teamwork.
• Proven ability to problem-solve and improve operational efficiency.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members and management.
• Excellent driving history.
• Ability to work on-site at assigned location for all shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Vehicle Operators to achieve safety and performance targets.
• Manage administrative tasks: timesheet approvals, expense reports, scheduling, and performance feedback.
• Collaborate with other Team Leads and Program/Project Managers to align with overall goals.
• Become subject matter expert on Zoox's Vehicle Operations software and mentor staff.
• Answer questions and provide information to contingent workforce personnel.
• Conduct regular testing with a focus on safety and current operations state.
• Drive process and product improvements with product and program teams.
