Duke Energy in Florence, SC, and Charlotte, NC, is seeking an automotive technology student for an on-site technician role focused on preventive maintenance and basic repairs for light and medium vehicles and equipment.

The position emphasizes adherence to FMCSR, DOT inspections, and developing diagnostic skills while working under supervision in a garage environment with varying shifts.

Formación

• Enrolled in a two-year Automotive Technology degree; must not graduate before May 2027.
• GPA of at least 2.75.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsabilidades

• Performs preventative maintenance inspections on light & medium vehicles/equipment.
• Assists with Federal DOT inspections.
• Adheres to FMCSR for DOT inspections.
• Assists with dielectric test inspections.
• Diagnoses and repairs on light/medium vehicles and equipment.
• Maintains technical competence for diagnosis and repair.
• Performs hydraulic brake system repairs.
• Assists with hydraulic component repairs.
• Assists with air brake system inspections and repairs.
• Troubleshoots electrical system components and basic A/C systems.
