The City of Charlotte, Fleet Management Division, seeks a CPCC student intern to assist with routine maintenance, basic repairs, and diagnostics under the supervision of experienced technicians. You will gain hands-on experience with tools, safety procedures, and fleet software while supporting community services.

Two shifts over five days per week are offered; the role emphasizes learning, mentorship, and professional development in the diesel technician field. Hourly pay is $21/hour.

Formación

• College student enrolled in CPCC work-based learning program.
• Willing to learn and follow procedures.
• Mechanical aptitude for large equipment such as fleet vehicles and trucks.

Responsabilidades

• Assist experienced technicians with routine maintenance and repairs, such as oil changes and tire rotations.
• Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues under supervision.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and document work in the fleet management system.
