Job summary

The Transportation Clerk at Central Arkansas Auto Auction, Inc. will work closely with our Transportation Coordinator to help move vehicles between inspection, detailing, staging, auction lanes, and other designated areas.

You will track shipments, communicate with drivers and customers, assist with freight billing and scheduling, and maintain accurate records. Candidates should be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to excel in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Previous experience in auto auction, dealership, transportation, warehouse, or similar environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify vehicles accurately.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move around the facility for extended periods.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate internal trucks and fleet vehicles between inspection, detailing, storage, and maintenance areas.
• Assist with organizing vehicles, managing customer requests, invoicing, and record-keeping.
• Enter transportation charges on customer invoices accurately.
• Safely handle money transactions between parties purchasing units.
• Safely operate vehicles on auction property following safety policies and traffic procedures.
• Assist with locating and retrieving vehicles as needed.
• Maintain an organized and safe work area and keep records compliant.
• Report vehicle damage or mechanical concerns to the supervisor.
• Complete required paperwork and daily logs accurately.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
