Job summary

J.B. Poindexter & Co. is seeking an Assembly Technician to assemble and install customer-specified products into commercial and fleet vehicles.

You will sub-assemble steel cabinets, racks, and related items on or near the line, install sub-assembled components, and pre-assemble items for shipping. Responsibilities include following wiring diagrams for electrical installations, maintaining quality and safety, and completing required forms.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have HS Diploma/Equivalent.
• Pass a pre-employment drug test and a criminal background check.
• Must have at least 3 months experience in related field.
• Follow instructions and work independently or with others.
• Fluent in English - understand and carry out written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Build and install interior/exterior components into vehicles.
• Follow wiring diagrams and schematics for electrical installations.
• Maintain reasonable production standards and quality.
• Complete necessary forms and paperwork as required.
• Operate a motor vehicle if required.
• Maintain a safe plant environment and good housekeeping.
