Job summary

RIDE Coach and Bus in California is seeking an assembler to perform parts and material installation and assembly per work instructions and leadership. This role involves producing finished units by assembling components such as bus seats, windows, doors, interior lights, grab bars, and other interior bus fixtures.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of experience in cutting, fitting and measuring, plus blueprint reading and lean manufacturing knowledge.

Qualifications

1-3 years’ experience in cutting, fitting and measuring; ability to install/assemble components such as bus seats, windows, doors, interior lights, grab bars, and other interior bus fixtures.
Experience reading blueprints and understanding lean manufacturing concepts.
Basic computer skills and math knowledge; ability to understand written and verbal work instructions and read blueprints.

Responsibilities

Assembles, aligns, tests and inspects parts to form complete units or subassemblies per blueprints and specifications.
Maintains acceptable performance standards for assembly, production, quality, safety and housekeeping.
Performs minor adjustments, repairs or setups to equipment or machines.
Inspects parts or completed units using gauges, calipers, and other inspection tools.
Keeps daily storage of hand tools and coordinates with team for material movements.
Maintains 5S standards and follows procedures; reports progress to supervisor.
