Job summary

J.B. Poindexter & Co., Inc. is seeking an Assembler Advanced for the 3rd shift in Reading, PA. The role focuses on assembling dry freight body sides, mounting and connecting mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic equipment, and using hand and power tools.

You will pull parts from inventory, cut materials, install plywood and e-track, and work with overhead catwalks to complete assemblies. Prior mechanical or electrical experience is preferred, and safety comes first in our production environment.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or Electrical experience preferred.
• Experience using hand and power tools to assemble parts.

Responsibilities

• Pull parts from inventory based on the job order.
• Assemble parts to form the Dry Freight body sides.
• Assemble, install, or remove body parts.
• Cut plywood sheets with a circular saw for interior walls.
• Cut e-track with a band saw for interior walls.
• Install plywood and e-track using a screw gun and rivet gun.
• Uncoil, measure, and cut roofing material for the top of the unit.
• Mount and connect mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic equipment.
• Use overhead catwalk.
