Job summary

Cox Automotive in Virginia is seeking a Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist I to support the intake and registration of vehicles at the Auction site. Day shift, on-site work, with no remote option.

Responsibilities include entering VIN, stock numbers, dealer IDs, make/model/year, applying barcode labels, and directing transporters. Emphasizes safety and accurate data entry in an outdoor work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred, OR less than 2 years of related work experience.
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required
• Basic computer skills required.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
• Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
• Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Input accurate vehicle information for registration into the system using a handheld computer (Zebra TC) for each vehicle received at the Auction including VIN, stock number, dealer identification number, make, model, year, mileage, color, options, etc.
• Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received and place work order numbers and routing labels
• Associate and install OBDII tracking device and direct transporters to proper car drop zone
• Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and supporting Safety Excellence
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, e.g. assist on sale days driving vehicles through Auction sales lanes.
