Job summary

Cox Automotive seeks an Inspector II to perform thorough vehicle inspections and document vehicle conditions. You will verify VINs, log exterior and interior features, and perform post-sale inspections to support online vehicle exchanges. A detail-oriented, multitasking mindset and basic computer skills are required.

Day shift, on-site role at Cox locations. Prior body shop or mechanical experience is a plus; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years’ related experience.
• Alternative: any level degree/certification beyond HS or 5 years in related field.
• Safe driver with valid license required.
• Basic computer software skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Body/paint/mechanical repair knowledge a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with unibody/full-frame vehicles.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify vehicle identification.
• Enter basic vehicle identification information to database.
• Inspect vehicle equipment and options and document results.
• Assess and database enter exterior vehicle damage.
• Inspect and enter condition of interior, tires, frame and mechanical components.
• Complete and verify data entry to document vehicle condition.
• Perform post sale inspections (PSI) and enter results in database.
• Perform and document walk around inspections for online vehicle exchange (OVE).
• Review completed vehicle condition reports with inspectors and provide advice.
