Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking detail-oriented inspectors to verify VINs and document vehicle conditions. You will enter data, inspect exterior and interior components, and contribute to online vehicle exchange processes. Training will be provided and meetings held to share updates.

The role emphasizes accuracy, multitasking, and strong communication, with standard acceptance of driving tasks and compliance with safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years in related field or equivalent.
• Safe driver's license and driving record.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to multitask.
• Familiarity with unibody and full-frame vehicles.
• Body, paint and mechanical repair knowledge preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Verify vehicle identification.
• Enter basic vehicle identification information to database.
• Inspect vehicle equipment and options and document results.
• Assess and database enter exterior vehicle damage.
• Inspect and enter condition of vehicle interior, tires, frame and mechanical components.
• Complete and verify data entry in support of documentation of vehicle condition.
• Perform post sale inspections (PSI) and enter results in database.
• Perform and document walk around inspections for online vehicle exchange (OVE).
• Review completed vehicle condition reports with inspectors and advise on results.
• Attend meetings to share information and complete training requirements.
